Beyond our existence, someone wrote our story with every little detail. Every word we speak and every step we take has already been written but we are not aware of it.
The world is one big, beautiful tapestry of narratives, each intricately and wonderfully woven in ways we hardly recognise. We live our lives believing in autonomy, the uniqueness of our choices, and the individuality of our experiences. Beneath the surface, a hidden strength shapes the essence of our existence. The incredible tale of your soul has been written by some amazing forces far beyond your perception! Think of it: all those stories you consume, those memories you collect, all those hidden influences that shape your journey – it’s amazing!
You are both the protagonist and the quiet reader of your life’s chronicle. But are you truly aware of who is writing your story?
The Invisible Authors of Our Souls
The stories are astonishing! They shape every culture, society and individual. And they’re everywhere, in every form you can imagine. They shape our perception of ourselves and the world around us from birth. Isn’t that incredible?
These incredible narratives come from a variety of sources:
1. Cultural Myths and Beliefs
Our beliefs, traditions and values are heavily influenced by the myths and stories told over the years. These stories teach us what is right and wrong, what gives our lives a purpose, and who we are. We rarely question these stories, yet they form the basis of our sense of identity.
2. The Media and Literature We Consume
Books, movies, music and even ads subtly influence what we think. A novel can make us fall in love with a distant land, a song can define a moment in our lives, and a film can change how we think about justice and heroism. The stories we read or watch can influence us without us realising.
3. Family and Personal Histories
The stories we hear from our families, the things our ancestors were like, and the way our parents talk about their lives all influence how we think – and there’s nothing more exciting than that! Stories we’ve inherited from our parents and grandparents affect what we want to be like, what we’re afraid of, and how we understand love, success and failure.
4. The Unseen Influence of Society
Society affects us, shaping what we expect from life. This happens through social rules, how we are taught, and religious beliefs. We live in systems we did not create, we accept them as reality, and rarely ask who wrote these rules.
The Conscious and Subconscious Narrative
We live in two kinds of world stories. There are the stories we actively create, and the other stories we don’t even realise exist. This is driven by things we have experienced in the past. We think we choose our destiny, but many decisions are based on a prewritten script.
The Illusion of Free Will
Amazingly, neuroscientific studies suggest that our choices are often made before we recognise them. Our brain is an incredible processor, working away behind the scenes based on ingrained patterns, past conditioning, and unconscious biases. It’s fascinating to think this happens long before we even realise it as deliberate choices. This means we’re like characters in a thrilling drama, with our actions and decisions playing a part in a great narrative set in motion.
Are We Simply Characters in a Cosmic Novel?
If souls exist before they are born, who created them? This is a question that people have been debating for a long time using philosophy and religion. Some people think that destiny or fate decides our path, while others believe in a God who writes our experiences with a purpose. Others suggest we are authors, working with the universe to create our destiny. From a logical perspective, our souls and spirits have been made by someone above everything, the human race is not allowed to know life.
Fate vs. Free Will
Our choices are already made for us, does that mean we have no free will? The answer might be in how we understand the story. While some things in our lives may be decided for us before birth (like our genes and the culture we grow up in), we can still choose how we react to these things. The balance between fate and free will is like a dance between structure and improvisation.
We do have free will, but we don’t write the steps of our story.
The Role of Consciousness within Our Storytelling
Conscious awareness is a door to becoming active participants in our unimaginable fiction. The more we question, reflect, and explore alternative perspectives, the more we can influence the direction of our story. Those who engage in deep scrutiny often rewrite their past, giving new meaning to old wounds and reframing their personal history.
Breaking Free from the Invisible Script
To reclaim our soul’s tale authorship, we must first know the forces that shape our narrative. Here are steps to become a vigilant writer of your story:
1. Identify the Stories You Have Inherited
Think about what you believe about yourself and the world. Which of these were given to you by culture, family or society? Which of them truly feel right for you, and which ones don’t?
2. Question the Narrative
Ask yourself: Who benefits from the life I am living? Am I doing what I want to do, or am I doing it because I’m scared or because I have to? If you question the script, you can rewrite it.
3. Create Your Mythology
Define your philosophy. Craft a narrative that empowers you, not confines you. Write your story—the one you’ve always dreamed of, not the one you’ve been told you can have.
4. Surround Yourself with New Narratives
Seek out views that will challenge your expectations and enlarge your mind. Read books, travel to unfamiliar places and engage with people who think differently. Open your mind and your horizons will be expanded by all the stories you encounter.
5. Become the Author, Not the Character
Take deliberate actions that shape your story. Don’t just let life happen to you, make life happen to you! Make choices every day that align with the narrative you wish to live.
Arising to the Tale of Your Soul
We are living in a story written by many hands—some known, others hidden. But you’re not just a passive reader; you’re a storyteller in your own right. The hour you become aware of the unseen book shaping your soul, you gain the incredible power to rewrite it. The pen is always within your grasp, waiting for you to claim it. The tale of your soul is unfolding—will you continue to let it be written for you, or will you take control of the narrative?
The choice is yours: to live unconsciously in a story dictated by unseen forces, or to awaken and become the true authors of our fate. The minute you choose the latter, you are no longer unaware. You are empowered. And on that occasion, your true story begins.
The tale of your soul and your being was penned by someone superior and He is above all creation. He is always there for you, ready and waiting to help. Write your story however many times you need – the more you pen it, the more you grow!
